브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK텔레콤은 ESG 데이터의 투명성과 신뢰도를 강화하기 위한 ‘ESG 데이터 통합 플랫폼’을 구축했다고 28일 밝혔다.
SKT는 이번 플랫폼 구축을 통해 글로벌 보고 이니셔티브(GRI; Global Reporting Initiative) 등 글로벌 ESG 공시 기준에 부합하는 보고 체계를 갖추고, 한국지속가능성기준위원회(KSSB; Korea Sustainability Standards Board)에 따른 국내 ESG 공시 의무화에 대해서도 선제 대응할 수 있는 관리 시스템을 마련했다.
SKT ESG 데이터 통합 플랫폼은 온실가스 배출량, 공급망 정보, 윤리경영 현황 등 △환경 △사회 △거버넌스와 관련한 약 280개의 데이터를 통합적으로 관리할 수 있다. 사내 시스템과 연계를 통해 ESG 관련 데이터의 약 50%를 자동 취합해 효율성을 높여준다.
또한, AI 챗봇 등 SKT AI 기술을 기반으로 ESG 지표 관련 문의에 실시간 대응하고, 데이터를 보다 체계적으로 활용할 수 있게 도와준다. 대시보드를 통해 다양한 지표들을 보기 편하게 시각화해 각종 ESG 관련 경영 정보를 직관적으로 확인할 수 있다.
특히, SKT는 넷제로(Net Zero) 추진 현황을 관리하고 예측할 수 있도록 넷제로 로드맵, 이행실적, 감축비용, 연간목표 등 관리 기능을 고도화했다.
SKT는 ESG 데이터 통합 플랫폼을 통해 SK브로드밴드, SK텔링크 등 자회사들의 ESG 관련 데이터도 통합적으로 관리할 계획이다. SKT는 물론, 자회사 ESG 정보 활용도를 높이고, 자회사 별로 산재된 ESG 역량을 하나로 모으는 창구로 자리매김할 것으로 기대된다.
SKT는 이를 기반으로 지속가능경영보고서, 기후정보 공개 보고서 등 글로벌 공시 기준에 부합하는 보고서를 보다 투명하고 정확하게 공개해 나갈 예정이다.
