원주시 개운동 행정복지센터는 지난 27일 직원 및 자생단체 회원 30여 명이 참여한 가운데 ‘생활폐기물 배출 준수 캠페인’ 및 환경정화 활동을 실시했다.
참여자들은 상가 밀집 지역을 돌며 ‘낮 시간 및 토요일 밤 배출 금지’, ‘수거 요일 전날 밤 배출’ 등 올바른 쓰레기 배출 요령을 집중 홍보하는 한편, 이면도로에 방치된 쓰레기를 수거하며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 주장한 개운동장은 “지속적인 홍보와 정화 활동을 통해 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 깨끗한 개운동을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
