브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ대한통운이 디지털 환경에 익숙하지 않은 노년층의 택배 이용 편의를 높이기 위해 전화 기반 택배 접수 서비스를 새롭게 도입했다.
CJ대한통운은 28일 스마트폰 애플리케이션이나 온라인 이용이 어려운 노년층을 대상으로 한 '시니어 전용 택배 접수 전화 서비스'를 시작했다고 밝혔다. 해당 서비스는 전화 한 통으로 택배 접수가 가능하도록 한 것이 특징이다.
이용자는 전용번호(1855-1236)로 전화하면 상담원의 안내에 따라 택배 접수를 진행할 수 있으며, 상담원이 접수 절차를 대신 처리해 준다. 접수가 완료되면 고객은 물품을 포장해 문 앞에 두기만 하면 되고, 이후 택배 기사가 방문해 수거한다.
상담 및 접수 서비스는 평일뿐 아니라 주말과 공휴일에도 운영된다. 평일에는 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지, 주말과 공휴일에는 오전 9시부터 오후 1시까지 이용할 수 있어 접근성을 높였다.
CJ대한통운 관계자는 "이번 전화 서비스 도입은 노년층 고객에게 택배 접수 채널의 선택권을 확대한다는 점에서 의미가 있다"며 "앞으로도 개인 간 택배(C2C) 서비스의 이용 문턱을 낮추기 위한 다양한 서비스를 선보일 계획"이라고 말했다.
