[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대는 고용노동부 주관 ‘2025년 대학일자리플러스센터 연차 성과 평가’에서 운영 중인 4개 사업 전체 ‘우수’ 등급을 획득했다.
이번 평가에서 국립창원대는 ▲대학일자리플러스센터 ▲재학생 맞춤형 고용서비스 ▲고교생 맞춤형 고용서비스 ▲졸업생 특화 프로그램 등 전 분야에서 최고점을 받았다.
전국 4년제 대학 평균 취업률이 1.3% 하락하는 동안, 국립창원대는 오히려 1.7% 상승한 59.3%를 기록했다. 취업자 10명 중 4명 이상(42.1%)이 대기업, 중견기업, 공공기관 등 이른바 '꿈의 직장'에 입성했다. 이는 경남 지역뿐만 아니라 전국 국공립대 평균을 크게 웃도는 수치다.

박민원 총장은 “인공지능 서비스를 진로·취업 상담 지원 시스템에 도입해 학생들의 초기 진단 프로그램을 고도화하고, 경남형 AI-CES(Career, Employment, Skill) 지원 모델을 개발해 국립창원대에 입학한 학생들의 차원이 다른 진로, 취업, 역량 지원 체계를 구축하겠다. 아울러 경남 지역 청년들의 재교육과 취업에도 관심을 가지고 지원해 경남 중심 국립대학의 책무를 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
한편 국립창원대 취업전략센터는 이번 4개 사업 전 분야 우수 평가라는 쾌거를 동력 삼아 지역 사회와 밀착된 취업 지원 체계를 더욱 공고히 할 계획이다. 특히 500여 명의 현직자 실무 멘토단은 국립창원대만의 강력한 자산으로, 이들이 직접 전하는 생생한 진로 가이드와 취업 정보는 학생들의 실전 역량을 강화하는 핵심 동력이 되고 있다. 나아가 대학은 지역 기업들과의 유기적인 산학 연계 프로그램을 지속적으로 창출해 단순히 졸업생을 배출하는 곳을 넘어 ‘기업이 먼저 찾는 대학’으로서의 위상을 확립할 방침이다.
