이재명 대통령이 28일 주한 외국인 투자 기업 관계자들과 만나 "대한민국 시장은 여전히 저평가 돼 있고, 인적 자원·물적 기초가 매우 뛰어나며 앞으로 성장·발전 가능성이 매우 높다"며 국내 투자 확대를 요청했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 청와대 본관에서 열린 '모두의 성장, 외국인 투자 기업 간담회'에서 "대한민국이 세계 최고 투자처가 될 수 있도록 객관적 환경을 조성하겠으며 의지는 충천하다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
이 자리엔 제임스김 미국상공회의소(AMCHAM) 대표·필립 반 후프 EU(유럽연합)상의(ECCK) 대표·마츠우라 테츠야 일본상의(SJC) 대표·안토니오 란다조 독일상의(KGCCI) 대표·숀 블레이클리 영국상의(BCCK) 대표·다비드 피에르 잘리콩 프랑스상의(FKCCI) 대표·가오첸 중국상의(CCCK) 대표 등 31개 주한 외국인 투자 기업 대표들이 참석했다.

이어 "한반도 평화가 사실 매우 중요한데 걱정 안 해도 된다"며 "이제 불필요하게 북한과 군사적으로 대결하거나 갈등이 격화되지 않고, 조금 양보하더라도 안정을 유지해 한반도 지정학적 리스크는 없어질 것"이라고 했다.
더불어 "합리적으로 주주 중심 회사를 운영해야 되며 국가 주인은 국민인 것처럼 회사 주인은 주주"라며 "지배구조를 개혁해 주주가 제대로 대접받는 합리적 기업 경영 지배 구조를 만들겠다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 "주가 조작 등은 대한민국이 망신 사는 사례인데 지금부터 그런 건 없다"며 "철저히 주식 시장 공정·투명성을 확보하겠고, 그런 걸 하는 데 자신 있으며 대한민국 정부·대한민국의 객관적 조건을 믿고 미래를 함께해도 괜찮다는 말씀을 드리고 싶다"고 덧붙였다.
