<브레이크뉴스 가평= 이용하 기자> 가평군이 정신질환을 앓고 있는 지역 주민들의 안정적인 사회 복귀를 돕기 위해 발 벗고 나섰다.
가평군보건소와 가평군정신건강복지센터는 정신질환자의 증상 회복과 사회 적응을 위한 ‘재활회복지원프로그램’ 참여자를 연중 모집한다고 29일 밝혔다.
센터는 현재 정신질환자가 자신의 상태를 정확히 이해하고 일상생활을 영위할 수 있도록 돕는 주간재활프로그램과 사회적응훈련을 운영 중이다. 접근성을 높이기 위해 센터 내 프로그램(주 2회)뿐만 아니라, 센터 방문이 어려운 주민들을 위해 청평면 보건지소에서도 주 1회 찾아가는 재활프로그램을 3년째 이어오고 있다.
이러한 노력 덕분에 지난해 프로그램 참여자는 주간재활 2,991명, 사회적응훈련 92명 등 총 3,000여 명에 달했다. 특히 참여자 만족도 조사 결과 97%가 ‘만족한다’고 답해, 해당 프로그램이 실제 환자들의 회복과 정서적 안정에 큰 기여를 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
