시는 우선 기존 재원 학생들의 학습권이 침해되지 않는 선에서 센터별 정원의 5% 이내 좌석을 재수생들에게 배정하기로 했다. 이후 시범 운영 성과를 분석해 최대 10%까지 확대하는 방안도 검토 중이다.
지원 대상은 만 18세 이상 포천시 관내 고등학교 졸업자(예정자 포함) 중 지난해 대학수학능력시험에 응시한 경험이 있는 학생이다.
단, 면학 분위기 조성을 위해 입실 절차는 까다롭게 진행된다. 신청자는 학습계획서를 제출해야 하며, 출신 학교장이나 교감의 추천서를 받아 확실한 학습 의지와 자기 관리 능력을 검증받아야 한다.
