【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군자원봉사종합센터가 29일 증평군립도서관 다목적 홀에서 ‘2026년 자원봉사 릴레이 발대식’을 개최하고, 2026년 자원봉사활동의 본격적인 시작을 알렸다.
이날 행사에는 이재영 군수를 비롯한 내빈들과 릴레이 참가 20개 단체 회원 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 자원봉사센터 2026년 사업계획 설명과 함께 릴레이 기(旗) 전달식이 진행됐다.
‘자원봉사 릴레이’는 참가단체가 각 단체의 전문성을 살려 정해진 기간 집중적으로 자원봉사활동을 실시하고, 활동 종료 후 다음 단체에 ‘릴레이 기(旗)’를 전달하는 방식으로 운영된다.
특히 올해는 단체별 봉사활동 1건과 함께 ‘버스 정거장 환경정화’ 활동을 추가로 실시함으로써 지난해보다 활동 영역을 확장하고 자원봉사 참여 확산을 도모할 계획이다.
올해 첫 활동은 2월 ‘맑은물지킴이봉사회(회장 이화복)’를 시작으로, 12월까지 이어질 예정이다.
김남순 센터장은 기념사에서 “각 단체가 릴레이를 무사히 완주할 수 있도록 자원봉사종합센터가 페이스메이커 역할을 제대로 수행하겠다”며 참여한 단체에 고마움을 전했다.
이재영 군수는 “기술이 나날이 발전하고 보급될수록 더욱 중요해지는 가치는 사람과 온정이고, 자원봉사야말로 사람을 존중하는 최고의 실천”이라며 “자원봉사가 더욱 활성화 될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원할 것을 약속드린다”며 참가자들을 격려했다.
