이번 평가는 해당 과제가 얼마나 해결하기 어려운 문제였는지, 그리고 시정 핵심 전략과 얼마나 긴밀히 연계되었는지를 종합적으로 분석했다. 본청부터 읍·면·동까지 4개 그룹으로 나누어 평가의 공정성을 높였다.
평가 결과 ▲최우수 부서 항만물류정책과, 산림휴양과, 성산구 건축허가과, 마산회원구 석전동 ▲우수 부서로는 관광과, 수도시설과, 의창구 환경과, 마산합포구 오동동이 각각 선정되었다.
우수 부서로 선정된 관광과, 수도시설과, 의창구 환경과, 오동동 역시 각 분야에서 눈에 띄는 실적을 거뒀다. 시는 이들 부서에 포상금과 함께 강력한 인센티브를 부여해 '일하는 조직 문화'를 더욱 공고히 할 계획이다.
