청송군은 문화와 예술을 지역 발전의 핵심 동력으로 삼아 군민 삶의 질 향상과 지역경제 활성화를 동시에 실현하는 ‘문화경제 활성화를 통한 건강하고 풍요로운 청송’ 조성에 행정 역량을 집중할 방침이다.
이를 위해 주민 맞춤형 문화·교양 강좌 운영을 비롯해 문화예술단체와 전통문화 전승단체 활동 지원, 주민 주도형 문화예술 아이디어 프로젝트 등 다양한 문화사업을 추진해 군민의 문화예술 향유 기반을 강화한다. 아울러 문화누리카드 발급 확대, 청년문화예술패스 지원, 지역 종교시설을 활용한 문화사랑방 운영 등 문화복지 사업을 통해 문화 소외계층을 줄이고 일상 속 문화 접근성을 높일 계획이다.
청송을 대표하는 문화유산인 청송백자를 주제로 한 ‘청송백자축제’도 한층 다채로운 프로그램으로 개최된다. 이번 축제는 청송백자의 예술적·역사적 가치를 널리 알리는 한편, 문화예술과 연계한 다양한 콘텐츠를 선보여 주민과 관광객 모두에게 특별한 문화 경험을 제공할 것으로 기대된다. 청송백자축제는 청송사과축제와 함께 지역을 대표하는 문화관광축제로 자리매김하며, 청송을 일상 속 문화가 살아 있는 도시로 도약시키는 계기가 될 전망이다.
국가유산 보존과 활용에도 힘을 쏟는다. 청송군은 총 32억 원의 예산을 확보해 19개소의 국가 및 도지정 문화유산 보수·정비사업을 추진 중이며, 국가유산 기반시설 구축을 통해 활용도를 높여 효율적인 보존과 전승은 물론 지역경제 활성화로 이어지도록 할 계획이다. 특히 중요 목조문화유산의 재난 예방을 위해 방재시설 구축과 유지관리, 안전경비 인력 배치를 통해 재난 대응력을 강화하고 있다.
2025년 산불로 소실된 지정문화유산에 대해서는 긴급보수 등 복원사업을 지속 추진하고 있으며, 훼손된 문화유산의 가치를 회복하고 지역 주민의 자긍심을 높이는 계기로 삼고 있다. 이와 함께 향토유산과 비지정 역사문화자원을 발굴·조사해 국가(도)지정 문화유산으로의 지정·승격도 추진할 예정이다.
체육 분야에서는 ‘산악스포츠 도시 청송’의 위상을 더욱 공고히 한다. 올해 파천면 청송군 골프연습장과 진보면 객주 파크골프장, 부남·현동 전천후 게이트볼장이 준공되면서 생활체육 인프라가 대폭 확충된다. 이는 고령층과 동호인을 중심으로 증가하는 생활체육 수요에 대응해 군민들이 사계절 안전하고 쾌적하게 체육활동을 즐길 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이다.

에너지복지 실현을 위해 신재생에너지 융복합 지원사업을 26억 원 규모로 추진하고, LPG 소형저장탱크 보급사업과 함께 부남면 LPG 배관망 구축사업도 새롭게 시행해 군민의 에너지 이용 편의와 지역경제 활성화를 동시에 도모할 방침이다.
청송군 관계자는 “문화와 체육, 국가유산, 지역경제가 선순환하는 구조를 통해 군민이 일상에서 변화를 체감할 수 있도록 하겠다”며 “산불 피해를 극복하고 청송의 저력을 바탕으로 건강하고 풍요로운 지역을 만들어 가는 데 모든 행정 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Cheongsong County, which suffered from a series of sports competition cancellations due to massive wildfires last year, successfully hosted the "Cheongsong Ice Climbing World Cup" in January, featuring approximately 120 top athletes from 18 countries. Building on this momentum, the county plans to gradually attract national sports competitions to revitalize the region and establish a foundation for the balanced growth of professional and recreational sports.
It is also pursuing policies to revitalize the local economy and expand energy welfare.
