파주시가 시민 건강 보호와 쾌적한 생활환경 조성을 위해 올해 슬레이트 철거 및 지붕개량 사업을 본격 추진한다.
이번 사업은 슬레이트 지붕재나 벽체를 사용한 건축물의 해체·처리 및 지붕개량을 지원하는 것으로, 주택 및 부속건물 80동, 비주택 건축물 40동의 철거를 지원한다.
비주택에는 축사, 창고, 노인 및 어린이 시설 등이 포함된다.
또한 슬레이트가 철거된 주택 20동을 대상으로 지붕개량도 지원할 예정이다.

지원 금액은 주택 철거비의 경우 동당 최대 700만 원, 비주택 슬레이트 철거비는 동당 최대 540만 원, 지붕개량비는 최대 500만 원이다.
다만 최대 지원 금액을 초과할 경우 본인 부담금이 발생한다.

신청은 3월 25일까지 받으며, 지원자가 미달될 경우 추가 신청을 받을 계획이다.
참여를 희망하는 시민은 건축물 소재지 관할 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청서를 제출하면 된다.
심재우 파주시 자원순환과장은 "슬레이트 처리지원 사업을 통해 노후 슬레이트를 철거함으로써 파주 시민들의 건강보호와 쾌적한 생활환경 조성에 기여할 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
