【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원이 운영하는 평생교육 플랫폼 '배움이락TV'가 앞으로 케이블TV를 통해 대구 전역과 경북 주요 지역으로 시청 가능 범위를 넓힌다.

대구행복진흥사회서비스원(이사장 배기철)은 2일 경북 구미시에 위치한 KT HCN 본사에서 KT HCN과 업무협약을 맺고, 유튜브를 기반으로 제작된 평생교육 콘텐츠 ‘배움이락TV’를 케이블TV 채널에서도 송출하기로 했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약으로 인해, 그동안 온라인에서만 제공되던 배움이락TV가 TV를 통해서도 서비스된다. 스마트폰이나 인터넷 사용이 어려웠던 고령층과 정보 접근이 힘든 주민들도 별도 기기 없이 안방에서 TV로 평생학습 콘텐츠를 접할 수 있게 됐다.

배움이락TV는 그동안 CMB 대구방송과의 협력을 통해 일부 지역에서만 TV 송출이 이뤄져 왔다. 이번 KT HCN 채널 추가로 시청 가능 지역이 대구 전역과 함께 경북 주요 시·군으로까지 확대됐다. 이에 따라 ‘대구 바로알기’ 등 지역 특화 콘텐츠가 자연스럽게 경북권 시청자들에게도 전달될 것으로 기대된다.

대구행복진흥원은 이번 채널 확장으로 평생교육 접근성 격차를 줄이고, 디지털 환경 변화에 취약한 계층의 학습권을 보완하겠다는 입장이다. 앞으로 주민센터, 복지관 등에서 TV 시청 방법과 사용법을 안내하는 교육도 병행할 방침이다.

배기철 이사장은 "온라인 학습 환경에서 소외될 수 있던 시민들도 이제는 더욱 쉽게 평생교육을 누릴 수 있게 됐다"며, "이번 협력이 대구와 경북이 교육을 매개로 소통하고 함께 성장하는 계기가 되기를 바란다"고 말했다.

한편, 배움이락TV의 정확한 케이블 채널 번호와 편성표는 추후 안내될 예정이며, 기존 유튜브 채널도 계속 운영된다.
