가평군은 지난 2일 가평이음터 대강당에서 '가평군 농촌협약사업 주민위원회 위촉식'을 열고 사업의 본격적인 추진을 알렸다고 3일 밝혔다.
이날 위촉식에는 서태원 가평군수와 관계 공무원, 주민 등 80여 명이 참석했다. 군은 설악면, 청평면, 상면, 조종면 등 4개 사업지구를 대표할 주민위원 79명을 위촉하고, 각 지구별 위원장 및 부위원장에게 위촉장을 수여하며 실질적인 주민 참여 체계를 구축했다.
'가평군 농촌협약 사업'은 오는 2029년까지 5년간 추진되는 중장기 프로젝트다. 농촌중심지 활성화 사업과 기초생활거점 조성 사업을 연계해 ▲생활 서비스 확충 ▲지역 역량 강화 ▲정주 여건 개선을 목표로 한다.
이번에 위촉된 주민위원회는 단순한 자문 기구가 아닌, 사업 기획 단계부터 완료 시까지 전 과정에 참여해 주민들의 현장 목소리를 전달하고 주요 의사결정을 주도하는 핵심 역할을 수행하게 된다.
