【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지역 주민의 문화 복지 증진을 위한 ‘복도 갤러리’의 올해 두 번째 전시로, 반재일 작가의 볼펜화 개인전 ‘세상을 볼펜 끝에 담다!’를 개최한다.
음성군청 복도 갤러리는 지난 2021년부터 청사 내 유휴 공간을 활용해 다양한 분야의 작품을 상시 전시해 왔다. 군청을 방문하는 민원인들에게는 잠시 쉬어가는 힐링 공간으로, 지역 예술인들에게는 작품 전시의 기회를 제공하는 장으로 군민들의 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
이번 전시회는 2월 한 달간(2.1.~28.) 음성군청 2층 복도 갤러리에서 진행되며, 작가가 퇴직 후 국내외 여행지를 다니며 느낀 감동과 추억을 볼펜만으로 섬세하게 표현한 풍경화 40여 점을 선보인다.
반재일 작가는 1980년부터 2014년까지 35년간 음성군청에서 근무한 공직자 출신 예술가다. 원남면장, 대소면장, 행정과장 등을 역임하며 지역 발전에 헌신했던 그는 퇴직 후 볼펜화라는 독특한 장르에 매진해 왔다.
SBS ‘세상에 이런 일이’, CJB ‘모닝와이드’ 등에 출연하며 그 실력을 인정받았고, 설성문화제와 구미시 새마을테마파크 등 다양한 곳에서 초청 전시를 해왔다.
군 관계자는 “복도 갤러리를 통해 매년 다양한 작품을 선보이며 주민들로부터 긍정적인 반응을 얻고 있다”며 “앞으로도 군민들이 일상에서 예술을 보다 가까이 접하고 문화적 감수성을 채울 수 있도록 고품격 전시를 지속적으로 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Eumseong County is hosting a solo exhibition of ballpoint pen paintings by artist Ban Jae-il, "Capturing the World on the Tip of a Ballpoint Pen!" as the second exhibition of the year for the "Hallway Gallery," a program dedicated to promoting cultural well-being for local residents.
Since 2021, the Hallway Gallery in the Eumseong County Office has been utilizing unused space within the building to permanently exhibit works of various genres. This exhibition, held in the hallway gallery on the second floor of the Eumseong County Office throughout February (February 1-28), showcases approximately 40 landscape paintings, meticulously crafted using only ballpoint pens, reflecting the emotions and memories the artist experienced while traveling domestically and internationally after retirement.
Ban Jae-il, a former public servant and artist, worked at Eumseong County Office for 35 years, from 1980 to 2014. Having served as the head of Wonnam-myeon, Daeso-myeon, and administrative director, he dedicated himself to the development of the region. After retirement, he dedicated himself to the unique genre of ballpoint pen painting.
His talent was recognized through appearances on SBS's "What a Wonderful World" and CJB's "Morning Wide." He has also been invited to exhibit at various venues, including the Seolseong Cultural Festival and the Gumi Saemaeul Theme Park.
