[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 경남 고성군이 행정안전부가 전국 지방자치단체를 대상으로 실시한 ‘2025년 자연재해 안전도 진단’에서 최고 등급인 A등급을 받아 우수기관으로 선정됐다.

이번 평가는 행정안전부가 전국 228개 지방자치단체를 대상으로 △위험요인 △재난관리 △시설관리 등 3개 분야 33개 지표를 기준으로, 해당 지자체의 연간 재난 예방·대응·관리 실적을 종합 평가하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

고성군은 ‘우기 대비 재해취약시설 점검 및 재해예방사업 정비’ 분야에서 특히 뛰어난 성과를 보이며 상위 15% 이내 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 

이에 따라 자연재해 발생 시 복구를 위한 국고 추가 지원을 받을 수 있는 자격도 갖추게 됐다.

군 관계자는 “앞으로도 선제적인 재난 관리와 현장 중심 대응을 통해 군민의 생명과 재산피해를 최소화하겠다”라며, “안전한 고성, 살기 좋은 고성 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
