[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 하동군이 청년들의 이용 편의성을 높이기 위해 하동 청년센터 운영 방식을 전면 개편한다.
군은 2월부터 하동 청년센터를 공휴일을 제외하고 연중무휴로 운영한다고 밝혔다.
그동안 하동 청년센터는 일요일과 월요일에 휴관해 직장인 청년이나 주말 이용을 원하는 청년들의 접근에 제약이 있었다.
이에 하동군은 기존 근무 인원의 교차 근무와 무인 운영 방식을 병행하는 운영 체계로 전환해 운영 공백을 해소하고 보다 많은 청년들이 센터를 이용할 수 있도록 개선했다.
개편에 따라 운영시간도 확대된다.
평일은 낮 12시부터 밤 10시까지, 주말은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영하며 공휴일만 휴무하는 체계로 바뀐다.
이를 통해 청년들이 요일에 구애받지 않고 청년센터를 자유롭게 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
이번 무인 운영 방식 병행은 하동읍 청년타운 준공에 따라 3월 개관 예정인 하동 비즈니스센터, 1968 하동역 카페와의 연계 운영에 따른 것으로 군은 순환 근무 체계를 도입해 최소 인력과 예산으로 최대의 운영 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 했다.
이와 함께 청년센터 내부 환경도 개선한다. 스토리메이커스 공간 재배치와 테이블 칸막이 설치, 컴퓨터 추가 설치 등 청년들의 실제 이용 패턴을 반영한 시설 개선을 추진해 보다 편리하고 쾌적한 공간을 조성할 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “이번 운영 개편은 청년들의 생활 리듬과 이용 수요를 반영한 실질적인 변화”며 “하동 청년센터가 청년들의 일상과 도전을 가까이에서 지원하는 열린 공간으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 지속적으로 운영해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
