경주시는 효현동에 거주하는 일곱째 자녀 출산 가정을 찾아 출산을 축하하고, 다자녀 가정에 대한 감사와 응원의 뜻을 전했다고 4일 밝혔다.
해당 가정은 강명호(36)·최성귀(35) 씨 부부로, 첫째(16세)부터 일곱째(0세)까지 모두 7명의 딸을 두고 있다. 일곱째 자녀 강미래 양은 지난해 11월 26일 출생했다.
이 가정은 일곱째 출산을 계기로 출산축하금과 출산장려금, 첫만남이용권, 부모급여 등 총 8,448만 원 상당의 출산·양육 관련 지원을 받게 된다.
지원 내역은 △출산축하금 20만 원 △셋째아 이상 출산장려금 1,800만 원(월 50만 원씩 36개월) △둘째아 이상 첫만남이용권 300만 원 △산후조리비 50만 원 △출산축하선물(미역·지역특산물) △15만 원 상당의 육아용품 출산축하박스 등이다.
이와 함께 △부모급여(0~11개월 월 100만 원, 12~23개월 월 50만 원) △아동수당 △어린이집 보육료 및 급·간식비 △초·중·고 교육비 및 급식비 지원 등 자녀 성장 단계에 맞춘 다양한 정책 지원도 연계될 예정이다.
이번 방문은 다자녀 출산과 양육의 사회적 가치를 알리고, 출산 이후 양육·돌봄·교육 전반에 걸친 경주시의 지원 정책을 출산 가정에 안내하기 위해 마련됐다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “저출생 문제가 심각한 상황에서 일곱째 자녀의 탄생은 한 가정의 기쁨을 넘어 사회적으로도 큰 의미가 있다”며 “아이들이 지역의 소중한 인재로 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 행정적 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young said, “In a situation where the low birth rate is serious, the birth of a seventh child is not only a joy for a family but also has great social significance,” adding, “We will continue to provide administrative support so that the children can grow healthily into valuable talents for the region.”
