노인복지법에 따라 경로당의 안정적인 운영과 활성화에 기여하기 위해 올해 처음으로 지역 내 경로당 총무들을 지역봉사지도원으로 위촉했다.
이번 위촉식은 조병옥 음성군수가 각 읍면 분회를 직접 방문해 ‘찾아가는 위촉식’으로 진행 중이며, 지난 1월 26일 감곡면을 시작으로 27일 삼성면, 28일 맹동면, 29일 음성읍, 30일 소이면, 2월 4일 금왕읍에서 위촉식을 마쳤다. 또 이달 5일 원남면, 9일 생극면, 10일 대소면 순으로 위촉식이 이어진다.
위촉식에서 참석자들은 활동 및 일지 작성 방법 등 지역봉사지도원으로서의 기본적인 업무 절차를 안내받았다.
‘경로당 지역봉사지도원 활동 지원 사업’은 각 경로당 총무를 지역봉사지도원으로 위촉해 활동에 대한 최소한의 지원을 함으로써 책임감을 높이고 경로당 운영을 안정적으로 지원하기 위한 제도다.
군은 지역봉사지도원에게 1인당 월 3만 원의 활동비를 지원하고 있으며, 향후 제도 운영 과정에서 단계적 인상을 계획하고 있다.
