[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시는 교육복지 강화를 위해 2026년부터 초·중·고등학교 입학 축하금 지원 대상을 확대해 시행한다고 4일 밝혔다.
시는 2023년부터 출생 후 처음으로 초등학교에 입학하는 학생을 대상으로 지원해 오던 입학 지원금을 2026년부터는 지원 대상을 중학교·고등학교 신입생까지 확대하기로 했다.
이에 따라 올해 지원 대상은 입학일 또는 전학일 기준 사천시에 주소를 두고 관내 초·중·고등학교에 최초 입학하는 신입생 또는 1학년 전입생이며, 학생의 부모 또는 보호자가 입학 학교나 주소지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청하면 된다.
신청이 완료되면 신청 다음 달 20일 이내에 신청인 명의의 휴대전화로 1인당 10만 원 상당의 모바일 사천사랑상품권이 지급되며, 해당 상품권은 신학기 학용품이나 준비물 구입 등 교육비용으로 활용할 수 있다.
다만, 두 자녀 이상 가정 또는 저소득층 가정의 경우 사천교육지원청의 ‘신입생 다자녀학생 입학준비물 지원사업’이나 사천시 주민돌봄과의 ‘저소득층 자녀 입학준비금 지원사업’과 중복 지원은 불가하다.
또한, 홈스쿨링 등 미입학 학생이나 타 지역 학교에 입학한 후 주소지만 사천시로 이전한 경우는 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
아울러, 2026년부터 신청 기간을 앞당겨 2월 23일부터 5월 29일까지 집중 신청 기간을 운영해 입학 축하금이 보다 적기에 지급될 수 있도록 할 계획이다.
