경주시는 5일 ‘외동읍 농촌공간 정비사업’의 핵심 공정인 레미콘 공장 철거 공사를 다음 달부터 본격 착수한다고 밝혔다.
이번 철거는 단순한 건축물 해체를 넘어, 수십 년간 소음과 비산먼지로 불편을 겪어온 주민들에게 쾌적한 생활환경을 되돌려주기 위한 조치로 평가된다. 시는 다음 달 착공을 시작으로 공장 내 모든 시설물을 단계적으로 철거해 올해 말까지 농촌공간 정비사업을 차질 없이 마무리할 계획이다.
