설 대목 앞 바지락·조개 캐기 체험 성황

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 고성군 하일면 가룡마을에서 2026년 첫 바지락·조개캐기 체험행사가 지난 3일 개최됐다. 

이날 지역민 및 관광객 200여명이 참석한 가운데 청정갯벌에서 바지락과 조개를 캐며 자연을 몸소 느끼는 시간을 가졌다.

이번 바지락·조개 캐기 체험은 매년 설 대목을 앞두고 실시하고 있으며, 인근 시·군은 물론 도내 각지에서 많은 관광객이 찾고 있다.

가룡마을 해안은 미국식품의약국(FDA)으로부터 청정해역으로 인정받은 자란만 일대로 아이들에게는 생태 교육의 장이, 어른들에게는 추억을 만드는 뜻깊은 시간이 됐으며, 채취한 조개를 참여자가 직접 가져갈 수 있어 호응도는 더욱 높았다. 

김영옥 하일면장은 “앞으로도 다채로운 체험 등을 통해 하일면의 매력을 널리 알리고, 많은 관광객이 하일면을 찾을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
