【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경ICT산업협회가 지역 취약계층을 돕기 위한 ‘이웃사랑’ 성금 2,220만 원을 기부하며 사회적 연대에 나섰다.

협회는 지난 3일, ‘이웃사랑 캠페인’을 통해 모금한 성금을 수성구청과 자원봉사능력개발원에 각각 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 성금은 협회 회원사들의 자발적 참여로 모였으며, 겨울철 취약계층 지원과 지역 돌봄·나눔 사업 등에 사용될 예정이다.

협회는 단순 기부를 넘어, 실제로 도움이 필요한 곳에 지원이 이어질 수 있도록 지자체와 지역 기관을 연결하는 창구 역할도 했다. 

수성구청과 자원봉사능력개발원은 해당 성금을 난방·생계비 지원, 긴급 복지 사례관리, 돌봄 프로그램 운영 등 다양한 분야에 배분할 계획이다.

대경ICT산업협회는 AI와 ICT 산업 성장의 토대가 지역 사회에 있음을 강조했다. 협회는 앞으로도 산업 발전과 사회적 책임을 동시에 실천하겠다는 입장을 밝혔다.

최종태 협회장은 “협회 차원에서 봉사단을 구성해 도움이 필요한 이웃들에게 지속적으로 온정을 전하겠다”면서 “지역 AI·ICT 산업 발전과 지역사회 연대를 통해 지역 경제인의 역할을 더욱 강화하겠다”고 말했다.
