[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시가 설 명절을 앞두고 도심 미관을 해치고 시민 안전을 위협하는 불법 광고물 정비에 나섰다. 특히 최근 급증하며 안전사고 우려가 제기된 정당 현수막에 대해서도 한층 강화된 잣대를 적용한다는 방침이다.

이번 합동 점검은 명절 인사를 앞세운 정당 및 일반 현수막이 난립할 것에 대비해 주요 도로변과 인구 밀집 지역을 중심으로 진행됐다. 상습적으로 대량 게시하는 업체나 개인에게는 행정처분을 병행하는 등 ‘쾌적한 생활 환경 확보’를 위한 강력한 의지를 드러냈다.
특히 시는 최근 수량이 급증한 정당 현수막에 대해 집중 관리 모드에 돌입한다. 옥외광고물법에 따라 ▲교통신호기 및 도로표지를 가리는 경우 ▲어린이 보호구역 및 소방시설 주변 설치 ▲교차로, 횡단보도, 버스정류장 인근 설치 등 시민의 보행 안전과 교통 흐름을 방해하는 위반 사례를 중점 점검하고 즉각적인 조치에 나설 계획이다.
