[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 전국생활체육대축전과 제5회 전국어울림생활체육대축전의 성공 개최를 위해 준비 작업에 속도를 내고 있다.
6일 시에 따르면 지난 2024년 전국(장애인)체전과 2025년 전국소년(장애학생)체전을 잇달아 성공시키며 총 4만 8,000여명의 선수단과 8만명의 관람객을 맞이한 바 있다.
이러한 풍부한 경험을 토대로 오는 4월과 6월에 열리는 전국생활체육대축전과 전국어울림생활체육대축전을 한층 진화된 ‘문화체전’으로 완성한다는 계획이다.
■ 생활체육 동호인 2만명 결집 ‘축제의 장 김해’
2026 전국생활체육대축전은 오는 4월 23일부터 26일까지 4일간 김해종합운동장을 비롯한 도내 60개 경기장에서 펼쳐진다. 전국 17개 시도에서 2만여명의 선수와 임원이 참가해 41개 종목에서 실력을 겨룬다.
주 개최지인 김해시에서는 개폐회식과 볼링, 육상 등 8개 종목이 진행될 예정이다. 이어 6월 19일부터 사흘간 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 즐기는 스포츠 축제인 ‘제5회 전국어울림생활체육대축전’이 펼쳐진다.
