대구대 RISE사업단, 난임의료산업 성과 확산 심포지엄 개최

【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구대학교(총장 박순진) RISE사업단 난임헬스케어센터는 지난 1월 30일 대구 메리어트호텔에서 신설 학과인 난임의료산업학과와 연계한 ‘성과 확산 심포지엄’을 개최했다.

이번 심포지엄은 국내 최초로 신설된 난임 특성화 학과인 난임의료산업학과의 운영 방향을 소개하고, AI 기반 난임 전문 인력 양성 사업의 추진 성과를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다. 행사에는 난임 전문병원 임상배아연구원과 관련 분야 전문가 등 50여 명이 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.

심포지엄에서는 구덕본 난임헬스케어센터장의 ‘RISE 난임헬스케어 사업 추진 방향 및 성과’ 발표를 시작으로, 한국생명공학연구원 윤승빈 박사의 ‘국가 영장류 자원 활용 보조생식기술 전임상 연구’, 좋은문화병원 민성훈 박사의 ‘최근 난임 의료기관 기술 및 인력 현황’ 등 다양한 주제 발표가 이어졌다.

이어진 종합토론에서는 난임 의료 산업의 지속적인 성장에 따른 전문 인력 수요 증가와 이에 대응하기 위한 대학과 의료기관 간 협력 방안, 실무 중심의 전문가 네트워크 구축 필요성 등에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 진행됐다.

장중혁 대구대학교 RISE사업단장은 “이번 심포지엄은 지자체와 대학이 협력해 난임 의료 산업 분야의 지역 정주형 인재를 양성하는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며 “신설된 난임의료산업학과가 지역 의료 산업 발전을 선도하는 핵심 인재 양성의 요람으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

구덕본 난임헬스케어센터장도 “현직 임상배아연구원들과의 긴밀한 네트워크를 바탕으로 교육의 내실을 다지고, 학생들의 진로 연계와 현장 맞춤형 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu University's RISE Project Group Holds Symposium on Infertility Healthcare Industry Results

The Infertility Healthcare Center of the RISE Project Group at Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin) held a "Results Dissemination Symposium" at the Daegu Marriott Hotel on January 30th, in conjunction with the newly established Department of Infertility Healthcare Industry.

The symposium was designed to introduce the operational direction of the Department of Infertility Healthcare Industry, the first specialized infertility department in Korea, and to share the progress of the AI-based infertility specialist training program. Approximately 50 people attended the event, including representatives from infertility hospitals, clinical embryo research centers, and experts in related fields, demonstrating strong interest.

The symposium began with a presentation by Gu Deok-bon, Director of the Infertility Healthcare Center, titled "RISE Infertility Healthcare Project Direction and Achievements." This was followed by presentations on various topics, including "Preclinical Research on Assisted Reproductive Technology Utilizing National Primate Resources" by Dr. Seungbin Yoon of the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology and "Recent Status of Technology and Personnel in Infertility Medical Institutions" by Dr. Seonghoon Min of Good Culture Hospital.

The following general discussion focused on the increasing demand for specialized personnel due to the continued growth of the infertility healthcare industry, the need for collaboration between universities and medical institutions to address this demand, and the need to establish a network of practice-oriented experts.

Jang Jung-hyuk, Director of the RISE Project at Daegu University, stated, "This symposium will serve as a crucial opportunity for local governments and universities to collaborate and cultivate local talent in the infertility healthcare industry. We will actively support the newly established Department of Infertility Healthcare Industry to establish itself as a cradle for nurturing key talent to lead the development of the local healthcare industry."

Gudeokbon Infertility Healthcare Center Director also said, “Based on a close network with current clinical embryo researchers, we will strengthen the quality of education and strive to connect students with career paths and cultivate talent tailored to the field.”
