【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=해병대 1사단 7여단 공정대대는 5일 포항 조사리 강하훈련장에서 상륙기동헬기 마린온(MUH-1)을 활용한 올해 첫 정기 강하훈련을 실시했다.
이번 훈련에는 대대장을 포함한 장병 130여 명과 마린온 2대가 참가했으며, 공정대대로서의 임무수행능력 향상에 중점을 두고 진행됐다.
대대는 강하에 앞서 전투연병장과 교육훈련단 공수교육대에서 지상 숙달훈련을 실시했다. 훈련 참가자들은 지상 착지 훈련과 모형문·모형탑 훈련, 공수 시뮬레이터 훈련 등을 통해 올바른 착지자세와 우발상황 발생 시 대처 요령을 숙달했다.
이번 훈련은 조사리 강하훈련장에서 고도 1500피트(약 457m) 저공에서 실시됐으며, 장병들은 혹한의 추위와 겨울 바다의 강풍 속에서도 성공적으로 강하 임무를 수행했다. 강하 후에는 신속히 집결지를 점령하고 착륙지대 확보와 연결작전 등 국면별 훈련을 이어가며 전장 대응능력을 점검했다.
부대는 훈련 전·중·후 안전교육과 위험성 평가를 실시해 발생 가능한 사고 유형을 사전에 판단하고 안전대책을 철저히 강구한 가운데 훈련을 진행했다.
박지환 공정대대장(중령)은 “임무에 기초한 실전적 교육훈련을 통해 공정작전에 대한 부대원들의 이해도와 자신감을 높이는 계기가 됐다”며 “싸우면 반드시 승리하는 필승의 전통을 계승해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
해병대 1사단은 앞으로도 정기적인 강하훈련을 통해 장병들의 실전 감각을 유지하고, 상륙작전 전담부대로서 최고도의 임무수행능력 확보를 위한 실전적 교육훈련을 지속할 계획이다.

The training took place at an altitude of 1,500 feet (approximately 457 meters) at the Josari Parachute Training Range, and the soldiers successfully completed their parachute mission despite the bitter cold and strong winter sea winds. After the landing, the unit quickly seized the assembly point and continued training for various scenarios, including securing the landing zone and conducting linked operations, to assess its battlefield response capabilities.
The unit conducted safety training and risk assessments before, during, and after the training, proactively assessing potential accident types and thoroughly implementing safety measures.
Lieutenant Colonel Park Ji-hwan, Commander of the Airborne Battalion, stated, "This mission-based, practical training has enhanced the unit's understanding and confidence in airborne operations. We will continue to uphold the tradition of victory in battle."
The 1st Marine Division plans to maintain its soldiers' combat acumen through regular airborne training and continue this practical training to secure the highest level of mission execution capabilities as a dedicated amphibious operation unit.
