포천시 드림스타트는 지난 7일 드림스타트 사례관리 아동과 가족 등 30여 명을 대상으로 가족 동반 진로·직업 체험 프로그램인 ‘꿈 찾기 직업 탐험대’를 운영했다고 밝혔다.
이번 프로그램은 만 6세부터 초등학교 저학년 아동들에게 직업에 대한 흥미를 유발하고 가족 간의 유대감을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 참가자들은 직업체험 테마파크인 '키자니아'를 방문해 소방관, 의사, 요리사 등 평소 꿈꿔왔던 다양한 직업을 직접 체험하며 자신의 적성을 탐색하는 시간을 가졌다.
특히 이번 행사는 단순한 체험을 넘어 보호자가 함께 참여하는 '가족 동반형'으로 진행돼 의미를 더했다. 부모들은 자녀가 체험에 몰입하는 모습을 가까이서 지켜보며 아이의 새로운 관심사와 재능을 발견하고, 돌아오는 길에 진로에 대한 깊이 있는 대화를 나누는 소중한 기회를 가졌다.
시 관계자는 “아이들이 스스로 직업을 선택하고 도전해보는 과정에서 자존감이 높아지고 미래에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 갖게 되었을 것”이라며 “앞으로도 가족이 함께 성장할 수 있는 다양한 맞춤형 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
