브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG가 설 명절을 앞두고 협력사 납품대금을 조기에 지급하고, 지역사회 나눔 활동과 중소 협력사 기술 지원 등을 적극 전개한다.
LG전자, LG이노텍, LG화학, LG에너지솔루션, LG생활건강, LG유플러스, LG CNS, D&O 등 8개 계열사는 납품대금 약 6000억 원을 최대 2주 앞당겨 지급한다. LG는 협력사들이 자금 조달 어려움을 해소하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
LG 계열사들은 협력사가 무이자 혹은 저금리로 대출을 받아 자금을 조달할 수 있도록 상생협력펀드, 상생결제, 직접 대출 등 금융 지원 프로그램을 운영하고, 소부장 협력사의 핵심 경쟁력인 기술 개발을 지원하고 있다.
LG전자는 2023년 1000억 원 규모의 ESG펀드를 신설해 현재 총 3000억 원 규모의 상생협력펀드를 운영해 경영자금이 필요한 협력사에 저금리 대출을 지원 중이다. 또한, 협력사의 신규 설비 및 자동화 설비 투자에 매년 400억 원 규모의 자금을 무이자로 제공하는 등 협력사의 기술경쟁력 확보도 지원하고 있다.

LG는 설을 맞아 사업장 소재 지역 경제를 활성화하고, 지역 사회 취약계층을 돕는 등 다양한 상생활동을 전개할 예정이다.
LG디스플레이는 명절에 앞서 경기 파주와 경북 구미 사업장 인근 이웃을 대상으로 연탄과 생필품 등을 지원하고 결연을 맺은 복지시설을 방문해 다양한 봉사활동을 진행한다.
LG화학은 여수, 청주, 대산 사업장의 인접 마을에 연탄과 생필품을 기부할 예정이다.
LG헬로비전은 대한적십자사와 함께 인구감소지역인 전남 해남군의 취약계층에게 지역채널 커머스 기획전 수익금으로 지역특산물이 담긴 ‘마음나눔 꾸러미’를 전달할 예정이다.
