이날 현장을 찾은 국민의힘 유상범 의원(홍천·횡성·영월·평창) 역시 지원사격에 나섰다. 유 의원은 “언제까지 강원도가 정치권의 변방에서 푸대접을 받아야 하는가”라고 반문하며 “이번 2월 임시국회 내에 개정안이 반드시 통과될 수 있도록 정치적 생명을 걸고 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
