대전광역시교육청은 학교 현장의 수업 및 평가 방식 혁신을 위해 ‘2026학년도 IB 프로그램 컨설팅지원단’ 운영과 ‘IB 교육 전문가(IBEC) 양성 과정’을 연계 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이는 단순히 프로그램을 도입하는 수준을 넘어, 학교 현장에서 실질적인 변화를 이끌어낼 '핵심 인적 자원'을 체계적으로 육성하겠다는 의지로 풀이된다.
우선 시교육청은 IB 운영 경험이 풍부한 베테랑 교원 15명 내외로 구성된 ‘컨설팅지원단’을 발족한다. 이들은 초·중·고교 현장을 직접 방문해 IB 프로그램 도입 시 학교가 겪는 행정적 부담을 덜어주고, 질문 중심의 수업과 절대평가 체제인 IB 방식의 평가 개선을 밀착 지원하는 중추적 역할을 수행하게 된다.
