군은 특히 종이 팩 분리배출에 대한 주민들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하기 위해 교환 기준을 조정했다.
기존 종이 팩 0.5kg당 화장지 1개를 지급하던 것에서 종량제 봉투 2매 지급하는 것으로 변경했으며, 이는 다른 항목보다 두 배로 확대된 혜택이다.
또한, 기존에는 읍·면 행정복지센터에서만 교환할 수 있었으나, 진천군 자원봉사센터를 추가 운영해 주민 접근성을 높였다.
특히, 자원봉사센터를 방문해 재활용품을 교환할 경우, 환경 보호 활동으로 인정받아 봉사 시간 인증(30분)까지 적립할 수 있어 일석이조의 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
