[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시는 거제식물원 정글돔 내 전시 콘텐츠 다양화와 관람객 만족도 향상을 위해 사랑앵무, 모란앵무, 왕관앵무새 전시를 운영하고 있다고 9일 밝혔다.

이번 앵무새 전시는 정글돔의 열대 식물 전시 환경과 어우러진 생태 전시 콘텐츠로 기획됐으며 관람객들이 비교적 가까운 거리에서 앵무새의 다양한 형태와 행동 특성을 관찰할 수 있도록 구성됐다.

다채로운 색감과 생동감 있는 움직임을 지닌 앵무새 전시는 정글돔 관람에 색다른 즐거움을 더할 것으로 기대된다.

특히 사랑앵무, 모란앵무, 왕관앵무 등 서로 다른 특징을 지닌 3종의 앵무새를 동시에 전시해 관람객에게 보다 폭넓은 생물다양성 관람 경험을 제공한다.

아울러 어린이와 가족 단위 관람객에게는 자연과 생명에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 교육·체험 중심의 학습 기회를 제공한다.

이영실 거제시농업기술센터소장은 "정글돔 내 앵무새 전시는 식물 위주의 관람에서 나아가 생물 전시 요소를 함께 즐길 수 있도록 마련한 신규 콘텐츠"며 "전시 환경과 생육 상태를 지속적으로 관리해 관람객들이 안전하고 쾌적하게 관람할 수 있도록 운영해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편 거제식물원은 앞으로도 정글돔을 중심으로 계절과 주제를 반영한 전시 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 발굴·운영해 시민과 관광객 모두가 찾고 싶은 식물원 문화 공간으로 발전시켜 나갈 계획이다.
