브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK텔레콤은 설 명절을 앞두고 중소 협력사들의 재정 부담을 경감하기 위해 SK브로드밴드와 약 1120억 원 규모의 대금을 조기 지급한다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 조기 지급 대상은 네트워크 공사 및 유지보수, 서비스 용역 등을 담당하는 500여 개 협력사와 250여 개 유통망이다. 대금 지급은 당초 지급일보다 최대 3주 앞당겨 설 연휴 전까지 순차적으로 진행될 예정이다.
2003년 업계 최초로 동반성장 및 상생협력 전담 부서를 신설한 SKT는 ‘동반성장펀드’, ‘대금지급바로’ 등 다양한 금융 지원 프로그램을 상시 운영하며, 중소 협력사들의 안정적 경영을 지원하고 있다.
‘동반성장펀드’는 SKT가 출연한 예치금의 이자를 활용, 협력사의 대출 금리 부담을 낮추고 긴급 자금 대출을 지원하는 프로그램이다. 최우수 협력사의 경우 무이자 대출을 제공해 평균 5.2%p의 대출 이자 부담을 경감해주고 있다.
‘대금지급바로’는 거래 대금을 지출 승인일로부터 2일 이내에 100% 현금으로 지급하는 제도다. 중소기업이라면 조건 없이 이용 가능하고, 대금 규모도 제한이 없어 협력사의 원활한 자금 운용을 돕는 대표적 프로그램으로 자리 잡았다.
이 외에도 SKT는 △임직원 복리후생 지원 △채용 및 무상교육 지원 △ESG 경영체계 구축 지원 등 중소 파트너사 대상의 다양한 지원책을 운영하고 있다. 이런 노력에 힘입어 지난해 동반성장지수평가에서 13년 연속 ‘최우수’ 등급을 달성했다.
