포천시는 영유아 시기부터 독서 습관을 기르고 책 읽는 문화를 확산하기 위해 ‘2026년 북스타트 사업’을 본격 추진한다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 관내 거주하는 생후 3~35개월 영유아를 대상으로 진행되며, 발달 단계에 맞춰 ▲북스타트(1단계, 생후 3~18개월) ▲북스타트 플러스(2단계, 생후 19~35개월)로 나누어 맞춤형 책 꾸러미를 제공한다. 꾸러미에는 그림책 2권과 부모 가이드북, 에코백 등이 알차게 담겨 있다.
수령을 희망하는 가정은 포천시 도서관 누리집에서 사전 신청 후, 신분증과 주민등록등본을 지참해 가까운 시립도서관 7개소(면암중앙·소흘·일동·영북·영중꿈나무·선단·가산)를 방문하면 된다.
단순한 책 배부를 넘어, 부모와 아이가 교감할 수 있는 체험 프로그램도 마련된다. 오는 3월부터는 관내 5개 도서관에서 ‘북스타트 데이’ 책놀이 프로그램을 운영, 전문 활동가와 함께하는 구연동화와 독후 활동을 통해 영유아의 정서 발달을 지원할 계획이다.
