<브레이크뉴스 의정부 = 이용하 기자> 의정부시가 급속한 고령화에 발맞춰 어르신들이 병원이 아닌 살던 곳에서 건강한 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 돕는 ‘의료·요양 통합돌봄’ 체계 구축에 속도를 낸다.
의정부시는 지난 6일 을지대학교 제3세미나실에서 의정부시 지역사회보장협의체 의료분과 위원들을 대상으로 ‘의료·요양 통합돌봄 사업 현장 설명회’를 개최했다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 설명회는 오는 3월 말 시행되는 ‘의료·요양 등 지역사회 통합지원에 관한 법률’에 대비해, 지역 내 의료 전문가들의 사업 이해도를 높이고 협력 네트워크를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 시는 ▲통합돌봄 서비스의 추진 배경 및 필요성 ▲구체적인 사업 대상과 내용 ▲의정부형 통합돌봄 특화사업 등을 상세히 안내했다. 특히 참석자들은 의료와 요양 서비스가 분절되지 않고 유기적으로 연결되기 위해서는 민관의 긴밀한 협력이 필수적이라는데 의견을 모으고 심도 있는 논의를 이어갔다.
마은정 복지정책과장은 “통합돌봄 사업이 성공적으로 안착하기 위해서는 현장 최일선에 있는 의료진과 전문가들의 협조가 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “시민들이 익숙한 삶의 터전에서 존엄하고 건강한 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 탄탄한 통합돌봄망을 구축해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 시는 오는 11일 국민건강보험공단 의정부지사와 간담회를 갖고 실질적인 사업 추진을 위한 협력 체계를 더욱 공고히 할 방침이다.
