고양특례시가 혁신 창업기업 발굴부터 성장, 투자 유치까지 이어지는 창업 선순환 생태계 조성을 위해 ‘2026년 창업활성화 지원 계획’을 수립하고 본격 시행에 나선다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 계획은 지역 내 창업기업을 체계적으로 육성하고 민간 투자 연계를 강화해 ‘창업하기 좋은 도시’로서의 입지를 다지기 위해 마련됐다.
시는 대학, 연구기관, 기업, 투자자 등과의 견고한 협력망을 바탕으로 창업기업의 전 생애주기를 지원하는 구조를 구축한다는 방침이다.

특히 올해 운영 방향을 ‘혁신 스타트업 발굴·육성’과 ‘창업 친화적 환경 조성’으로 설정하고, 창업오디션인 ‘고양 IR데이’ 개최와 더불어 28청춘창업소, 한국항공대·동국대 창업보육센터 지원을 통해 지역 창업 인프라를 한층 강화한다.
창업기업을 위한 맞춤형 실전 지원도 대폭 확대된다. 시는 경기도경제과학진흥원, 경기테크노파크 등 유관 기관과 손잡고 제품 개발부터 생산, 판로 개척, 지식재산권 확보까지 다각도로 지원한다.
특히 시민 밀착형 판로 지원 사업인 ‘고양 스타트업 팝업스토어’를 운영해 창업기업들이 실제 시장에 안정적으로 진입할 수 있도록 돕는다.
자금 조달을 위한 투자 유치 지원책도 눈에 띈다.

우수 예비·초기 창업기업이 관내 창업지원기관에 입주할 경우 인센티브를 제공해 지역 정착을 유도하며, 청년 창업 지원 시설인 ‘28청춘창업소’의 최대 입주 기간을 기존 2년에서 3년으로 연장해 초기 안정성을 높였다.
아울러 관내 창업 유관 기관 간의 단순한 정보 공유를 넘어 우수 기업에 가산점을 부여하는 등 실질적인 협력 체계를 구축해 시너지를 극대화할 계획이다.
