【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 고향사랑기부제 시행 4년 차를 맞아 약 2억 5천만 원 규모의 고향사랑기금을 활용해 어르신 돌봄, 주민 안전, 지역문화 활성화, 아동·청소년 복지 등 군민 생활과 밀접한 10개 기금사업을 본격 추진한다.
군은 기부자의 뜻이 군민의 일상 속 실질적인 변화로 이어질 수 있도록 현장 중심의 사업 체계를 구성하고, 군민 체감도가 높은 생활밀착형 사업을 중심으로 기금 활용 범위를 확대했다.
먼저 어르신 복지 분야에서는 병원 동행, 가정방문 돌봄 지원 사업을 통해 통합돌봄 대상 어르신의 의료 접근성과 이동 편의를 높인다.
방문 차량 임대, 의료 소모품 구입, 유류비 지원 등을 통해 돌봄 인력이 안정적으로 현장을 방문할 수 있도록 해 돌봄 공백을 최소화하고 어르신의 일상 유지를 지원할 계획이다.
또한 낙상사고 예방을 위한 안전손잡이 설치 사업을 지속 추진한다.
지난해 40여 가구에 대한 지원을 완료한 데 이어, 올해는 시즌2로 확대함으로써 어르신의 생활 안전을 강화하고 타지에 거주하는 자녀들의 불안 해소에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
주민 안전 분야에서는 공동주택 공동체 활성화 사업을 추진해 관내 공동주택 4개 단지를 대상으로 주민 축제, 소식지 제작, 사회 봉사활동 등 입주민 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영한다.
아울러 폭염·한랭질환 등 계절성 재해에 대비해 관내 중소기업을 대상으로 산업안전 재해 예방 물품을 지원, 근로자 건강 보호와 산업현장 안전 강화에 나선다.
다음으로 지역문화 활성화를 위해 ‘찾아가는 소소한 음악회(2026 딜리버리 콘서트)’를 연중 추진해 관내 기업체 직장인과 군민에게 문화 향유 기회를 제공하고, 기업과 지역사회 간 상생 문화를 조성할 방침이다.
군민 역사 의식 강화를 위해서는 ‘이상설선생 전국 알리기 프로젝트’를 통해 전국 대도시 순회 캠페인과 홍보 물품 제작을 추진해 이상설 선생의 역사적 의미를 전국적으로 확산시킬 계획이다.

한편, 군은 고향사랑기부제 시행 이후 3년 연속 충북 도내 기부금 모금액 1위를 기록했으며, 누적 모금액은 23억 원에 달한다.
