이른바 ‘2차 내란 종합특검’을 둘러싸고 민주당이 추천한 검사 문제를 놓고 민주당 내부에서까지 음모론이 난무하는 모습은, 그 자체로 어이없는 블랙코미디다. 이미 유례없이 세 차례나 내란 관련 특검을 집행하고도 또다시 ‘종합특검’을 들고 나온 것부터가, 소위 종합 특검이 진실 규명이 아니라 내란 국면을 인위적으로 연장하기 위한 정략적 도구임을 스스로 고백하고 있다.
특히 전준철 변호사를 추천한 핵심 사유로 “윤석열로부터 탄압받았다”는 명분을 앞세운 대목은 결정적이다. 이는 공정한 수사를 위한 특검이 아니라, 정치적 보복을 위한 특검임을 자인한 것이나 다름없다. 이른바 종합특검은 애초부터 엄정한 수사가 목적이 아니었다. 복수(復讐)의 칼날을 휘두를 망나니를 세우기 위한 무대였음을 스스로 드러낸 셈이다.
그럼에도 불구하고 특검 후보자를 둘러싸고 노골적인 비토와 음모론까지 등장한 현실은, 오히려 대북송금 사건의 실체적 진실이 어디에 있는지를 역설적으로 암시한다. 수사 검사가 아닌 ‘변호인’을 둘러싼 논란과 음모론 자체가, 대북송금 사건 자체를 이미 조작 수사의 프레임 속으로 밀어넣고 있다는 강한 의혹을 낳고 있다.
이같은 민주당내 음모론과 논란 자체가 단순한 의혹을 넘어 이재명 정권의 급소, 즉 ‘역린’이라는 것을 여지없이 드러낸 장면이다.
자신의 변호인 출신들은 정부 요직에 차곡차곡 배치하면서도, 정작 자신과 관련된 사건의 수사 검사도 아닌 변호인들에대해서는 과도한 비토와 음모론이 확산되는 모습은 또 다른 음모를 잉태하고 있다는 의구심을 지울 수 없게 한다.

더 나아가 친명을 자임하는 최고위원이 대통령의 당무 개입을 노골적으로 자인하는 사태까지 벌이며, 정부,여당은 스스로의 치부를 만천하에 드러내는 난장판을 연출하고 있다.
