고양특례시가 지난해에 이어 올해도 다자녀 가정을 적극적으로 격려하며 출산 장려 분위기 조성에 박차를 가하고 있다.
고양시는 지난 2월 10일 열린 ‘직원 소통·공감의 날’ 행사에서 각각 다섯째와 여섯째 자녀를 출산해 양육 중인 두 가정에 ‘출산장려 유공 표창’을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

이번 표창은 저출생 시대에 출산과 양육의 가치를 몸소 실천하며 지역사회에 귀감이 된 모범 가정을 격려하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 이날 행사에는 NH농협은행 고양시지부(지부장 오영석)가 함께 참여해 눈길을 끌었다.
NH농협은행 측은 새로운 생명의 탄생을 축하하고 두 가정의 건강한 양육을 응원하기 위해 별도의 후원금을 전달하며 나눔에 동참했다.
이동환 고양특례시장은 “출산과 양육은 이제 개인의 선택을 넘어 사회 전체가 함께 책임지고 응원해야 할 소중한 가치”라며 “앞으로도 민관이 긴밀히 협력해 출산 친화적인 환경을 구축하고, 부모와 아이가 모두 행복한 도시를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
NH농협은행 고양시지부 관계자 또한 “지역사회와 상생하는 금융기관으로서 출산의 기쁨을 함께 나눌 수 있어 매우 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 지역 주민의 삶의 질을 높이는 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 지속하겠다”고 밝혔다.

고양시는 지난해부터 다섯 자녀 이상을 둔 가정을 발굴해 표창하는 제도를 정례화했다.
이는 다자녀 가정에 대한 사회적 예우를 강화하고 출산에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 확산시키기 위한 조치다.
