대전광역시교육청이 설 명절을 맞아 지역 건설업계의 경영난을 해소하고 근로자들이 임금 체불 없는 따뜻한 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 공사대금의 신속한 집행에 나섰다.
대전시교육청은 동·서부교육지원청과 협력하여 현재 진행 중인 각종 시설공사 대금을 설 연휴 이전에 지급함으로써 지역 경제의 자금 선순환을 돕겠다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 대금 지급 규모는 (가칭)대전용계초등학교 신축공사를 비롯한 관내 주요 학교 현장 총 227억 원에 달한다. 교육청은 시설공사비는 물론 노무비와 관급자재비 등이 적기에 전달될 수 있도록 기성 및 준공 검사를 최대한 신속히 마무리할 계획이다.
명절을 앞두고 자금 수요가 집중되는 공사업체들에게 실질적인 ‘자금 가뭄’의 해결사 역할을 하겠다는 취지다.
교육청은 단순히 대금을 지급하는 것에 그치지 않고, 업체들이 선금과 기성금 제도를 충분히 활용할 수 있도록 관련 절차를 안내하고 있다.
