제9대 세종소방본부장으로 김용수 소방준감이 11일 취임했다.
세종소방 본부에 따르면 김용수 신임 본부장은 1992년 소방사로 임용한 후 경남소방본부 특수구조단장과 진주소방서장, 소방청 구조과장, 국무조정실 안전환경정책관실, 소방청 보건안전담당관, 소방청 대응총괄과장 등을 역임했다.
특히 중앙과 지방의 요직을 두루 거친 현장 및 정책 전문가로 알려져 세종시 스마트 안전도시 조성에 역할을 할 것이라 게 주변의 평이다.
김용수 신임 본부장은 “재난 앞에서는 늘 겸손한 마음으로 대비하고,현장에서는 단호하고 신속하게 대응하겠다”며 “시민들이 안심하고 일상을 누릴 수 있는 ‘안전 선도 도시 세종’을 만들겠다”고 말했다.
