충남 천안시의회가 설 명절을 앞두고 어려운 이웃들과 따뜻한 정을 나눴다. 시의회는 11일 관내 사회복지시설 6곳을 찾아 위문품을 전달하고 관계자들을 격려했다.
이번 방문에는 류제국 부의장을 비롯해 배성민 의회운영위원장, 강성기 경제산업위원장, 육종영 행정보건위원장, 이종만 복지문화위원장, 노종관 건설도시위원장, 이상구 윤리특별위원장, 박종갑 더불어민주당 원내대표, 정규운 의회사무국장 등이 함께했다. 참석자들은 각 시설의 운영 현황을 살피며 현장의 목소리를 직접 들었다.
류제국 부의장은 “시민 모두가 따뜻하고 평안한 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 시의회가 지속적으로 복지 안전망 강화를 위해 노력하겠다”며 “지역의 어려운 이웃과 함께하는 나눔 문화가 확산되길 바란다”고 말했다.
이날 시의원들이 방문한 시설은 마음편한집, 참아름다운집, 두빛나래 지역아동센터, 천안누리봄 발달장애인 주간활동센터, 하나지역아동센터, 다윗공동생활가정 등 6곳이다. 천안시의회는 매년 설과 추석 명절마다 지역의 복지시설을 찾아 위문활동을 이어오며 지역사회에 따뜻한 온기를 전하고 있다.
