서산시, 2027년 외부재원 7천억 원 확보 나선다

충남 서산시가 2027년까지 7천억 원 규모의 외부재원 확보를 목표로 대규모 예산 전략에 돌입했다.

이를 위해 서산시는 11일 시청 대회의실에서 이완섭 시장 주재로 ‘2027년 외부재원 확보 추진전략 보고회’를 열고, 정부 예산 반영을 위한 대응 방향과 주요 현안 사업 추진 방안을 논의했다. 회의에는 실·국장과 관련 부서 공무원 등 40여 명이 참석했다.

이번 보고회에서는 한우역사박물관 건립, 한국생명공학연구원 서산분원 설치·운영, 지속가능항공유 전주기 통합생산 기술개발 등 시의 중점 추진사업을 포함해 주요 현안의 외부재원 확보 전략을 점검했다.

특히 시는 중앙부처 예산안 편성 단계부터 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 실·국별 중점사업의 추진 일정과 확보 목표를 공유하고, 논리 보강과 부처 협의·자료 보완 방안을 구체화하기로 했다.

이완섭 서산시장은 “예산 확보는 시정 주요 정책의 추진 동력이며, 시민이 체감하는 핵심사업 추진을 위한 출발점”이라며 “정부 예산 편성 초기 단계에서부터 면밀히 대응해 지역발전의 기회를 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
