【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 달서구가 퇴원 환자의 지역사회 복귀를 지원하는 통합 돌봄 체계를 본격적으로 가동한다.
병원 치료를 마치고 집으로 돌아가는 과정에서 생길 수 있는 ‘돌봄 절벽’을 해소하기 위한 조치다.
달서구는 최근 지역 내 9개 병원과 업무협약을 맺고, 퇴원 환자를 위한 지역 연계 돌봄 사업인 ‘달서가돌봄’에 나선다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약에는 구병원, 나사렛종합병원, 더블유병원, 대구보훈병원, 대구기독병원, 보광병원, 세강병원, 우리병원, 명성요양병원 등이 참여했다.
‘달서가돌봄’ 사업은 급성기 치료를 끝내고 퇴원하는 환자가 일상으로 자연스럽게 복귀할 수 있도록 병원과 지역사회가 함께 돌봄을 설계하는 것이 핵심이다.
각 병원에서는 퇴원 예정 환자의 일상생활 능력과 돌봄 필요성을 미리 평가해, 돌봄 공백이 우려되는 경우 구청 전담부서로 연계한다. 병원이 지역사회 돌봄을 잇는 가교 역할을 맡게 되는 셈이다.
구는 의뢰를 받은 뒤 대상자별로 통합지원계획을 세우고, 방문 심리·인지 케어, 맞춤형 방문 운동, 가사·식사 지원, 주거환경 개선 등 생활 밀착형 서비스를 제공한다. 여기에 한의 방문진료 등 달서구만의 특화 돌봄 서비스도 더해 원스톱 지원이 가능하도록 할 계획이다.
이태훈 달서구청장은 “이번 협약을 계기로 의료기관이 지역사회 돌봄의 시작점이 된다는 점에서 중요한 의미가 있다”며, “주민들이 익숙한 가정에서 가족과 함께 건강한 삶을 이어갈 수 있도록 병원과 적극 협력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Each hospital will assess the daily living abilities and care needs of patients scheduled for discharge in advance. If a gap in care is identified, the hospital will be referred to a dedicated department in the district office. This effectively serves as a bridge to community care.
After receiving a request, the district develops an integrated support plan for each individual and provides services closely related to their daily lives, including visiting psychological and cognitive care, customized exercise, housekeeping and meal assistance, and improved living conditions. Dalseo-gu plans to add specialized care services, such as visiting Korean medicine doctors, to provide one-stop support.
Dalseo-gu Mayor Lee Tae-hoon stated, "This agreement is significant in that it marks the beginning of community care for medical institutions. We will actively cooperate with the hospital to ensure residents can continue healthy lives with their families in their familiar homes."
