가평군은 지난 11일 서울 여의도 국회 소통관 앞마당에서 열린 ‘가평산들만찬마켓 in 국회’ 직거래 장터가 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 가평 농특산물의 우수성을 알리고 판로를 확대하기 위해 마련됐으며, 현장에는 지역구 김용태 국회의원과 서태원 가평군수, 김경수 가평군의회 의장 등 지역 정·관계 인사들이 총출동해 일일 판매원으로 나서는 등 열띤 홍보전을 펼쳤다.
장터에는 관내 농가와 소상공인들이 참여해 총 10개 부스를 운영했다. 가평을 대표하는 잣과 한우를 비롯해 참송이·송화버섯, 배 등 신선 농산물과 잣 만주, 쌀쿠키, 오디 잼 등 다양한 가공식품을 선보여 국회 직원들과 방문객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 특히 일부 인기 품목은 조기에 동나는 ‘완판’ 행진을 이어갔으며, 불과 몇 시간 만에 1,100여만 원의 매출을 올리는 기염을 토했다.
김용태 국회의원은 “농민들의 땀과 정성이 담긴 가평 농산물이 국회에서 인정받아 기쁘다”라며 “우리 농가들이 판로 걱정 없이 생산에만 전념할 수 있도록 국회 차원에서도 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 약속했다.
