[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 문화체육관광부가 주관한 ‘2025년 문화도시 조성사업’ 성과평가에서 최고 등급인 ‘최우수도시’로 선정됐다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 제2차~4차 법정 문화도시 17곳과 대한민국 문화도시 13곳 등 총 30개 지자체를 대상으로 실시됐다.
이에 2023년 최우수도시, 2024년 올해의 문화도시 선정에 이어 2년 연속 최상위 성적을 거두며 대한민국을 대표하는 문화도시로서의 위상을 공고히 했다.
시는 사업의 지속성과 현장 실행력 부분에서 압도적인 평가를 받았다. 특히 ‘삶의 회복 새로운 미래, 햇살문화도시 밀양’이라는 비전 아래, 단순한 일회성 행사를 넘어 도시 전체의 체질을 바꾸는 체계적인 로드맵을 실행해 온 점이 주효했다.
시 관계자는 “이번 최우수도시 선정은 밀양이 대한민국 문화정책의 지속 가능한 모델로 공식 인정받았다는 뜻깊은 결과”라며 “앞으로도 문화기반의 창의산업을 도시 성장의 핵심 전략으로 삼아, 시민의 삶이 풍요로워지고 경제가 살아나는 지속 가능한 도시 브랜드를 확립해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.

2월 26일 화려하게 개막, 경남 내 11개 지부·14개 극단 작품 선보여
밀양시는 경남 연극인들의 최대 축제이자 경연대회인 ‘제44회 경상남도 연극제’가 오는 26일부터 3월 11일까지 14일간 밀양아리랑아트센터에서 개최된다고 밝혔다.

시는 지난달 28일 산내면을 시작으로 인·허가 궁금증을 현장에서 즉시 해결해 주는 밀착 행정을 펼치고 있다.
상담팀은 허가과장을 반장으로 환경·농지·건축·산지·개발행위 등 분야별 실무 전문가 6명으로 구성됐다.
상담 현장에서는 시민들의 실생활과 밀접한 민원 사항에 대해 1:1 상담을 진행하며 주민들의 궁금증을 해소했다.
특히, 생계와 직결된 농지 전용이나 노후 주택 개축 등에 대한 문의가 주를 이루었다.
