<브레이크뉴스 포천=이용하 기자> 포천시는 관내 중소 제조기업의 공정 혁신과 경쟁력 강화를 위해 경기도와 손잡고 ‘2026년 경기도형 스마트공장 구축 및 컨설팅 지원사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 스마트공장 구축의 첫걸음인 기초 단계 공정의 디지털화를 중점적으로 지원한다. 단순한 장비 보급을 넘어 자동화 설비 및 솔루션 도입과 함께 전문가의 현장 맞춤형 지도를 병행하여, 기업이 실제 생산 현장에서 가시적인 개선 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 설계된 것이 특징이다.
지원 대상은 포천시 내에 소재한 중소 제조기업으로, 1차 모집을 통해 총 3개 기업을 선정할 예정이다. 선정된 기업에는 최대 5,000만 원의 사업비가 지원된다.
실제로 지난해 사업에 참여한 관내 2개 기업은 스마트공장 도입 이후 비약적인 성장을 이뤘다. 특히 한 기업은 자동 라벨 부착기와 PDA 기반 물류관리시스템을 도입해 생산 및 재고 관리 전 과정을 디지털화한 결과, 생산량이 약 200% 증가하고 납기 소요 기간을 7일에서 3일로 단축하는 성과를 거뒀다. 이를 통해 해당 기업은 연간 약 30억 원 규모의 추가 매출을 기대하고 있다.
포천시 관계자는 “제조업은 포천 지역 경제를 지탱하는 핵심 산업인 만큼, 기업들이 급변하는 산업 환경 속에서 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
