【브레이크뉴스】박영재 기자=사단법인 드림드림은 지난 11일 서울 지역 평화종합사회복지관에서 설명절 지원사업 ‘함께 빚는 만두, 함께 웃는 설날’을 진행했다. 이번 행사는 명절을 맞아 지역 내 1인 가구와 다문화가정 등 취약계층 200가구에 명절 음식을 전달하고, 이웃 간 정서적 교류의 장을 마련하기 위해 기획됐다.

이날 행사에는 조 크리스 드림드림 이사장을 비롯해 자원봉사자, 다문화가정, 지역주민들이 참여해 직접 만두를 빚고 포장 작업을 진행했다. 드림드림은 쌀떡을 비롯해 만두, 사골육수, 견과류 등을 담은 ‘드림 선물박스’를 준비해 각 가정에 전달했다.
참여자들은 단순한 식생활 지원을 넘어, 명절 기간 소외감을 느끼기 쉬운 이웃들에게 지역사회의 관심과 돌봄의 메시지를 함께 전하는 데 의미를 뒀다.
이번 사업은 서울시사회복지관협회와 서울사회복지공동모금회의 후원으로 마련됐다. 복지관과 민간단체, 후원기관, 지역주민이 함께 힘을 모은 민관 협력형 나눔 행사다.
조 크리스 이사장은 “명절 기간 동안 더욱 외로움을 느낄 수 있는 이웃들의 식탁에 사랑과 정성이 담긴 음식이 전해지기를 바라는 마음으로 준비했다”며 “봉사에 함께해주신 모든 분들과 지역의 모든 이웃들에게 행복과 건강이 가득하기를 소망한다”고 말했다.
선물박스를 전달받은 한 어르신은 “이번 명절은 오랜만에 배부르고 따뜻한 명절이 될 것 같다”며 감사의 뜻을 전했다. 또 다른 어르신도 “배부르고 행복한 명절이 될 것 같다”며 눈시울을 붉혔다.
‘함께 빚는 만두, 함께 웃는 설날’ 행사는 참여자들의 웃음과 감사 속에 마무리됐다. 이번 행사는 취약계층 이웃들에게 따뜻한 명절의 정을 전하는 동시에, 지역사회에 이웃 간 연대와 나눔의 가치를 다시 한 번 확인하는 계기가 됐다.
