【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 최근 관내 기업체(공장) 화재가 빈번하게 발생함에 따라 관내 기업의 자율적인 안전관리 역량을 강화하기 위해 적극적인 행보에 나섰다.
군은 농공·산업단지 내 화재 등 각종 사고 위험을 차단하고, 사후 수습 중심에서 사전 예방 중심으로 안전관리 체계를 구축하기 위해 입주기업체를 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 화재예방교육’을 실시한다고 13일 밝혔다.
산업단지는 공장이 밀집해 있고 위험물 취급 시설이 많아 화재 사고 발생 시 대규모 인명과 재산 피해로 이어질 위험이 크다.
특히 관내에는 조성된 지 20년 이상 된 노후 산업단지가 다수 존재하고, 대규모 신규 산업단지도 지속적으로 조성되고 있어 더욱 실효성 있는 안전관리 체계 구축의 필요성이 높은 상황이다.
이에 군은 음성소방서와 손을 잡고 현장에서 화재 사고 대응에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 현장 중심 교육을 마련했다.
이번 교육은 설 명절 이후부터 12월까지 연중 실시되며, 관내 농공·산업단지 입주기업체 및 개별 입지 기업체를 대상으로 진행된다.
교육은 음성소방서 예방안전과 및 음성군 기업지원과가 공동 주관하며, 산업단지 내 기업체와 개별 입지 기업체의 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 현장 방문 교육 방식으로 운영된다.
특히 군은 교육의 실효성을 높이기 위해 읍·면별 기업인협의회 월례회의와 연계한 순회방문 교육을 병행 실시한다.
각 읍·면 기업인협의회 회의 일정에 맞춰 직접 찾아가는 방식으로 교육을 진행함으로써 기업체의 참여율을 높이고, 지역별 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 안전교육을 추진할 계획이다.
교육은 이론과 실습, 현장 컨설팅을 병행한다. 이론교육에서는 △겨울철 공장 화재 발생 원인과 주요 사례 △전기·난방기기 사용 시 화재 예방 수칙 △공장 내 위험 요소(가연물 적치, 전기설비 등) 관리 방법 △화재 발생 시 행동 요령 및 대피 방법 등을 안내한다.
실습 및 체험교육에서는 △소화기 사용법 교육 및 실제 방사 체험 △옥내소화전 사용법 교육 및 실제 체험 △화재 발생 상황을 가정한 초기 대응훈련 △심폐소생술(CPR) 및 하임리히법 등 응급처치 교육을 실시해 현장 대응 능력을 강화할 예정이다.
아울러 현장점검 및 컨설팅을 통해 공장 내 화재 취약 요소를 직접 점검하고, 개선이 필요한 사항을 안내하는 등 기업별 맞춤형 안전관리 지도를 함께 진행한다.
박순애 기업지원과장은 “산업단지 특성상 한 번의 화재가 대형 사고로 확산될 가능성이 높은 만큼, 기업 스스로 초기 대응 능력을 갖추는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “읍·면별 기업인협의회와 긴밀히 협력해 참여 중심의 순회 교육을 확대하고, 사전 예방 중심의 안전관리 체계를 정착시켜 안전한 산업 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 군은 이번 교육을 계기로 기업체의 안전의식 제고와 자율적 안전관리 문화가 정착될 수 있도록 지속적인 지원과 점검을 이어갈 방침이다.
