더불어민주당 장종태 국회의원(대전 서구갑)이 대전·충남 행정통합 특별법을 둘러싼 실효성 논란과 관련해 이장우 대전시장에게 ‘1대1 공개토론’을 전격 제안하며 정면 승부에 나섰다.
장 의원은 이 시장이 제기한 자치권 축소 및 선거제 특혜 주장을 조목조목 반박하며, 시의회를 방패 삼지 말고 직접 검증대에 설 것을 압박했다.
장 의원은 19일 오전 대전시의회 기자실에서 회견을 열고, 최근 국회 행정안전위원회를 통과한 ‘대전·충남 통합 특별법’의 당위성을 재확인했다.
